Professional social networking company LinkedIn (LNKD.DL) announced today that it has reached 200 million members worldwide. The news comes just over two months after the company's last disclosure of 187 million members on Nov. 1, and less than two years after it reached 100 million members in March 2011.

That's a nearly 7% bump since the Nov. 1 number.

Deep Nishar, LinkedIn's senior vice president of product and user experience, highlighted the diversity and internationalism of LinkedIn users in a blog post. Although the U.S. leads member count with 74 million users, Turkey is the fastest-growing country by membership, and China leads in terms of mobile growth.

LinkedIn is now available in 19 languages, and is the 23rd most-visited site in the world, according to the company.

After its first month of operations in 2003, LinkedIn had a total of 4,500 members. The company estimates LinkedIn adds two new members to its network every second.
