Some automobiles these days have bigger screens than you have in your living room. The Tesla (TSLA +1.85%) Model S, for example, has a high-definition 17-inch touchscreen that contains all of the all-electric's entertainment and navigation controls, as well as most of the other functionality normally consigned to knobs and buttons.
