In the following video, Motley Fool tech and telecom analyst Andrew Tonner discusses the announcement from the head of the Chinese Ministry of Information Technology, Miao Wei, in which he said that he expects the Chinese government to begin issuing 4G licenses this year. The big three names in Chinese telecom, China Mobile (CHL), China Telecom, (CHA) and China Unicom (CHU) have all started building out 4G networks. While Apple (AAPL 0.53%) currently has contracts with China Telecom and China Unicom, it is not yet available on China Mobile. Andrew tells investors how the adoption of 4G in China could give Apple access to China Mobile, and its customer base of 700 million.
