In this video, Austin Smith reviews the latest salvo between Amazon.com (AMZN 0.25%) and Wal-Mart (WMT 0.11%). Both companies now offer same-day delivery and pickup lockers. Will this give Wal-Mart a clear advantage? Probably not, Austin says, as customer demographics and buying habits are fairly different between the two companies and Wal-Mart continues to have the brick-and-mortar overhead that Amazon doesn't. While Wal-Mart has matched services Amazon offers, Wal-Mart hasn't scored a decisive victory.
