EPS came in at $0.37. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.35 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.37 for Q1 were 8.8% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.34 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.44 for Q1 were 57% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.28 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 41.9%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 12.6%, 110 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.4%, 280 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.33 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.59.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $5.26 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.21.
