Since the precipitous fall that precious metals took in mid-April, there have been various market shifts that may foretell of important changes. While the SPDR Gold Trust (GLD +1.33%) has outperformed the iShares Silver Trust (SLV +3.35%), the Global X Silver Miners (SIL +3.91%) has outperformed the Market Vectors Gold Miners (GDX +2.74%). This apparent disconnection has the potential to reverse in the near term and create some interesting opportunities.
