If you're looking for safe, blue-chip income producers, Austin says you should hang on to them, as they're safe bets to keep the dividend checks coming. But if you're looking for growth, Austin says that's another story. Pfizer fits the bill, but better alternatives to P&G and AT&T might be Unilever and Apple.
