In a statement today, HP (HPQ -0.25%) said that it's added three new members to its board, increasing the total to 12 now.
Starting today, the following new members will be added:
- Robert R. "Dob" Bennett, former president and CEO of Liberty Media, will become a member of the Finance and Investment Committee and the Audit Committees.
- Raymond E. Ozzie, former chief software architect of Microsoft and founder of Talko, will be a part of the Technology Committee and the Finance and Investment Committee.
- James A. Skinner, former vice chairman and CEO of McDonald's and current chairman of Walgreen Company, will join the Audit, HR and Compensation, and Nominating and Governance Committees.
Ralph V. Whitworth, iterim chairman of the HP board, said in the release:
Dob, Ray and Jim bring tremendous capital allocation, technological, operational and leadership expertise and experience to the table. I'm confident they will make enormous contributions as we support Meg and her team in rebuilding HP by better serving our customers, strengthening our partnerships and building value for our shareholders.
As part of a plan set up this past April to recruit top leadership to HP's board, the company said in the online statement that it's continuing to look for additional board members and a permanent non-executive chairman over the coming months.
