General Motors' (GM -0.05%) all-new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra are the company's most important new products in years. These full-sized pickups are very visible and very profitable products for GM, and getting them launched without a hitch has been a top priority for GM's post-bankruptcy leadership.

But now there's a hitch: One of the airbags in these models might not be up to spec, and GM has started a recall.
