Regarded as one the most technologically savvy wireless teams in the industry, this move speaks to Intel's longer-term goal of integrating key wireless technologies into its semiconductor products. Consequently, Qualcomm (QCOM +1.82%) investors may be feeling like Intel is slowly emerging as a formidable competitor.
