Investors already know that Apple (AAPL -0.35%) has one or two iPhones in store for Tuesday's media event. What's less clear is whether the Mac maker will show off any new iPads. There have been conflicting reports.

Chances are that Apple will choose to host two separate events, much as it did last year. Investors may have to wait until October to see the newest iPads, which will hopefully include a Retina iPad Mini to take on the competition. Google (GOOGL 10.22%) has released its second Nexus 7, and Amazon.com (AMZN 3.43%) also probably has new Kindle Fires ready to launch.

In the following video, Erin Kennedy discusses when iPads might be unveiled with Evan Niu, CFA, and Eric Bleeker, CFA.
