While most of the summer headlines lauded the rise of Breaking Bad, NBC quietly celebrated a few niche hits of its own. Comcast (CMCSA 1.57%) stock has rarely looked more interesting as a result, says Fool contributor Tim Beyers in the following video.

On its own, NBC hasn't given Comcast stockholders much to cheer about. But consider subsidiaries USA Network and Syfy. Both networks have drawn well recently, with the current season of USA's Suits gettting between 2 million and 3 million viewers per episode.  On Syfy, Defiance attracted about 2 million viewers per episode in its debut season and there's already work on a tie-in video game.

All signs point to an improving business, Tim says. He's rated Comcast stock to outperform in Motley Fool CAPS. Ready for the rest of the story? Click the video to watch.
