According to Bloomberg Businessweek, General Motors (GM 0.57%) had planned to have fans spell out "Silverado Strong" in giant letters at Game 5 of the World Series. Chevrolet executives dropped the idea, however, fearing a backlash if fans perceived it was trying to capitalize on the "Boston Strong" motto and the tragedy of the Boston Marathon bombings.
