In today's Consumer Countdown, consumer goods analysts Michael Finarelli and Sean O'Reilly join host Mark Reeth to take a look at all the big news in their sector. One of the biggest pieces of news within the sector was Amazon's (NASDAQ:AMZN) announcement that it will begin testing the delivery of orders in L.A. and New York City on Sundays. To do this, the e-tailer is teaming up with the U.S. Postal Service, which is probably all too happy to be thrown a lifeline.

Both Sean and Mike think this is a great deal for both parties, and while it doesn't spell the apocalypse for UPS (NYSE:UPS) and FedEx (NYSE:FDX), those companies can't be thrilled about this news.
