Following the ouster of BlackBerry (BB 1.80%) CEO Thorsten Heins earlier this month, BlackBerry is shaking things up yet again. Chief Operating Officer Kristian Tear and Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben are leaving the company, while Chief Financial Officer Brian Bidulka is being replaced by James Yersh. Bidulka will stay on board for a transitional period through the end of the fiscal year.

Both Tear and Boulben were personally tapped by Heins, and BlackBerry's new interim CEO, John Chen, is deciding to clean house. Neither position is being filled, so those responsibilities will now fall under Chen. BlackBerry's turnaround is all riding on Chen's shoulders.

In this segment of Tech Teardown, Erin Kennedy discusses BlackBerry's housecleaning with Evan Niu, CFA, our tech and telecom bureau chief.
