Google (GOOG +0.20%) just tweaked its product line again, making two important changes at once. The moves undercut email spammers while boosting Google's own ad networks.
One tweak puts a caching proxy between email senders and Gmail users, drastically reducing the tracking and analysis options for email spammers. The other lets search ad buyers specify that they only want visible ad space, not something on the fifth page of search results or behind a huge image. Here, Google trades a little bit of ad volume for more valuable and higher-priced ad buys.
