"Take forecasts with a giant grain of salt. And that's even being polite."
That's what Motley Fool columnist Morgan Housel tells host Matt Trogdon in the latest episode of Out On a Limb. It's a theme Housel covered extensively in his recent column, "The Blind Forecaster."
Housel noted that "there's no evidence that anyone, even the smartest people who work on Wall Street and have access to the best information, have any ability to tell you what stocks are going to do over the next twelve months." He warns that investors should be aware of the amount of randomness that affects returns over short periods of time.
