Although we don't believe in timing the market or panicking over market movements, we do like to keep an eye on big changes -- just in case they're material to our investing thesis.
What: Shares of Noah Holdings
So what: Chinese stocks can be volatile even on the calmest news days, and that's exactly what we have today. Even though the stock raced through a day's average volume in the first two hours of trading, there's not much driving it.
Now what: After buyers barged in early this morning, trading has quieted down in this mysterious move. We may just be seeing a continued move after the beating the stock's taken over the last three months. Without any solid news, I see no reason to change your investment thesis, nor to buy into the move today.
