In order to keep you ahead of the curve during earnings season, The Motley Fool's retail sector will give you a preview of which companies are reporting in the upcoming week (Nov. 27-Dec. 1). In the process, we'll let you know what happened last quarter so that you'll know have an idea of what to expect from this quarter.

Next week marks the end of a very busy month for retailers. That's because almost all of them have reported their earnings for the quarter. And by doing so, they can focus their efforts on the all-important holiday shopping seasons, which have become a make-or-break time of year for many companies.

Despite the news slowdown, next week we'll find plenty of good information flowing our way about some very interesting retailers.

Home-furnishing retailer Restoration Hardware (NASDAQ:RSTO) will lead the way on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it's been a tough year for many of the companies in this industry, as customers are not really finding many things they like. Will the story be the same at Restoration Hardware, or will it be able to generate some additional shiny new pennies? We'll be there to let you know.

We'll also find out whether the biggest, baddest bling-slinger on the block, Tiffany (NYSE:TIF), still has the look. Earlier this year, Stephen Simpson commented that shares were looking cheap. Will that still be the case relative to this quarter's performance?

Three apparel retailers will let us know how their quarters went as well. Women's fashion peddler Chico's (NYSE:CHS), teen fashion retailer Aeropostale (NYSE:ARO), and shoe shop DSW (NYSE:DSW), a spin-off from Retail Venture (NYSE:RVI), will strut their stuff. Chico's has been down for a while, Aeropostale was hoping to be cool for school, and DSW has been getting more efficient. That's why I can't wait to see if their products have been flying off the shelves or not.

In case you were too busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and weren't able to keep up with our retail news from this week, we've summarized the best for you here. And that's just a small way for us to say thanks for being a devoted reader.
