On Feb. 14, United Auto Group (NYSE:UAG) released fourth-quarter earnings for the period ended Dec. 31.

  • Revenues rose 22.8%, led by a 7.1% increase in same-store retail revenue. New vehicle sales increased 16.8%, used vehicle sales grew 43.9%, and service and parts revenues increased 23.3%.
  • Gross margins fell in all sales categories because of the challenging sales environment. The end result was a 70-basis-point decrease in the gross margin.
  • For FY 2007, the company expects EPS from continuing operations between $1.40 and $1.50 per share.
