Sherman ''Sherm'' Henderson III devised the plans for Lightyear Network Solutions, LLC (which began operations as UniDial Inc.) on a napkin at a Denny's restaurant in Louisville, Ky., in 1993. Lightyear now serves the telecommunications needs of more than 60,000 business and residential customers nationwide and generates annual revenue of over $50 million through an independent national sales force of Lightyear Agent Partners.
