Uber is adding Joby's helicopter business to its network in a win-win deal.
As Joby Aviation (JOBY 6.38%) works to complete the certification of its vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the company has bought a helicopter network called Blade, and Uber (UBER -1.55%) took notice. A new partnership between the companies could build demand before Joby's main aircraft ever gets off the ground.
