Welcome to my real-money portfolio!

With funding from The Motley Fool, I'm going to try to beat the market and explain exactly what I'm doing in simple terms every step of the way.

My wheelhouse is banking and financials -- hence my initial buys were JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), just beating out Citigroup (NYSE: C) and Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC). However, I'll go into just about any area of the market where there's a sale.

But here's the caveat -- I'm looking for the no-brainers. I'm trying to identify simple investing theses (though not necessarily simple companies) in stocks that the market is placing in its clearance bin. For example, in my write-up on B of A and JPMorgan, my buy thesis boils down to the market punishing the two banks for scary but ultimately overblown headlines.

To paraphrase Warren Buffett, if an idea has to be taken out to three decimal places, it's probably not a good idea.
