Ford (F -1.61%) is recalling 19,106 of its 2013 Fusion vehicles for a potential problem with low-beam headlights, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced.
Ford notified NHTSA and its dealers of the issue on Nov. 27, instructing them to replace both front headlamps on all affected vehicles. According to the notice, a coating may have been improperly cured during manufacture and "an improperly cured projector coating will be hazy during operation and will reduce the brightness of the low-beam lamp. This may increase the risk of a vehicle crash."
This newest announcement comes just one week after Ford recalled approximately 65,000 Escape vehicles and 15,000 Fusion vehicles for potential vehicle overheating.
The headlamp issue has been isolated to vehicles assembled between Feb. 3 and Oct. 20 at the company's Hermosillo plant in Mexico. Click here to find out if your vehicle is affected.
