EPS came in at $2.20. The 18 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $1.99 per share. GAAP EPS of $2.20 for Q4 were 12% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.97 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 25.3%, 510 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 16.5%, 590 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 9.3%, 50 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $116.61 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $2.00.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $452.35 billion. The average EPS estimate is $7.90.
