A nine-year-old technology provides new advances in drones.

The Navy League's Sea-Air-Space Exposition is the largest maritime expo in the U.S., and brings together dozens of defense contractors and military decision-makers. The Motley Fool's Rex Moore was at the event in National Harbor, Maryland, and saw demonstrations of several technologies. In the video below he chats with Ryan Hartman of Boeing's (BA 2.23%) Insitu subsidiary about how the company's ScanEagle technology -- an unmanned intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance craft. In tomorrow's video, they talk about how that technology led to the Integrator unmanned aircraft platform.
