Will GM's New Cars Have Ads Inside?

Last week, GM CEO Dan Akerson talked up GM's plan to have 4G LTE connectivity in most of its cars starting next year. But he raised one disturbing possibility: That connection might bring ads to your dashboard.

Is General Motors (GM +0.50%) really planning to put advertising in its cars?

GM CEO Dan Akerson raised that possibility last week. Talking about GM's plan to include 4G wireless connectivity in most of its cars soon, Akerson -- a former telecom executive -- suggested that it could be used to deliver ads right to the cars' dashboards.
