Campbell Soup (CPB 0.09%) is no longer the company behind a set of selected European food brands. The company announced it has completed the sale of its European simple meals business to private equity concern CVC Capital Partners. The price of the deal, which was reached at the beginning of this month, is 400 million euros ($552 million).

The brands sold by Campbell Soup include Royco in France and Belgium, Liebig in the former country, Germany's Erasco, Bla Band in Sweden, and Devos Lemmens in Belgium. The deal includes four plants located in those countries.

In the press release announcing the news, the company stressed that the transaction does not include Kelsen Group, the Denmark-based cookie maker it acquired in June.
