In the video below Fool portfolio manager Matt Argersinger and managing editor Eric Bleeker discuss tech events across the past week.

In the video below, the two discuss Google's (GOOGL -2.15%) new version of Android, called Android Wear, that's built for wearable devices like smartwatches.

Eric notes that Google could actually have some advantages over Apple (AAPL 0.04%) in the watch space. Because watches have such limited screen size, they're inherently more limited in what they can do. Eric notes that Google's efforts in areas that predict what information you need, such as Google Now, provide the company a key advantage in the watch space.

However, as the conversation evolves, the two note that while watches are in focus right now, that's just because they're the first market wearables are invading. The larger prize will be having a series of sensors on your body to measure things like your general health. That space is far from decided, and actually provides Apple its own unique advantages in the space.
