Ever since oversight on tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) was given to the FDA in the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act of 2009, people have been waiting for the inevitable regulating to begin.

Well, people don't need to wait any longer -- because the first set of proposed deeming regulations has been released, and there's a lot of information investors need to know to make smart decisions about this industry and its investment potential. The regulations include a variety of new restrictions, as well as some broad indications of how e-cigarette products might be approved by the FDA in the future.
