How America's Energy Advantage Relies on Natural Gas

Some American businesses are pressuring Washington to limit the export of liquefied natural gas.

America's Energy Advantage is an association of American manufacturers that are spearheading a push to keep it hard to export natural gas overseas. The group that includes Dow Chemical (DOW), Alcoa (AA), and Nucor Steel (NUE -1.04%) believes that the abundance of energy available to domestic companies from the shale boom should be kept at home to ensure that this advantage persists for years to come.
