In the following video, Fool contributor Matt Thalman discusses three stocks he has on his watchlist, as well as a different metric for each one that he believes will tell him whether it's time to buy, sell, or continue to hold. With Boeing (BA -0.24%) Matt believes investors should be watching the dollar value and per-plane number of sales and compare the results against Airbus and smaller aircraft manufacturers. When it comes to Netflix (NFLX -9.09%), he says, investors need to watch how much content is being sold on a per-hour price and how much comes from Netflix. Lastly, with home Home Depot (HD 0.74%), Matt says we should watch the number of underwater homes in the United States.
