Ford is posting big sales gains in India – thanks to a little SUV you might not know about.

Ford (F -1.26%) has had trouble getting traction in the up-and-coming Indian market. While Ford's global product line has been a big success in places like China, consumers in India have different priorities – and those haven't worked out well for the Blue Oval.

That might finally be changing, though, thanks to the Ford EcoSport – the little SUV pictured above. In this video, Fool.com contributor John Rosevear explains what the EcoSport is and why it's poised to do well in India – and why India is a big priority for Ford.
