This past week, Ford (F 0.69%) reported a second-quarter profit of $1.2 billion, a strong result powered by big sales in North America and improvements in all of its overseas regions. Further gains in Asia and Europe should give Ford even bigger profits in coming quarters, but Ford is also setting the stage for even more profits here in its home market.
