Tech enthusiasts at the recent Engadget+gdgt Live conference in New York City were treated to a most unusual musical performance. The band Sound of Contact showed off its skills with instruments using iOS mobile music accessories from IK Multimedia, designed for Apple's (AAPL 0.52%) iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices.

Our roving reporter Rex Moore caught up with the band before its big iGig and asked about IK Multimedia's suite of products, which won a "Best in Show" award at CE Week. In this video, Dave Kerzner explains the advantages of an all-digital setup.
