Will Guardians of the Galaxy be the next Iron Man? Marvel's enthusiasm for the project is infectious, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

In a recent interview with the French website Reviewer, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige likened the creative state for Guardians to that of the first Iron Man film. He also referred to the characters' relative obscurity as "liberating" and said that Marvel believes in the storyline, which may help to explain why Walt Disney (DIS -1.01%) is putting so much marketing muscle behind the project.

And not just in the comics. Feige also said that those who stay after the credits for next month's Thor: The Dark World will be treated to "an initial glimpse" into the world of the Guardians. Tim says that's a strong indicator of Marvel's enthusiasm for the property.
