Ford's (F -0.54%) overhauled lineup of cars and trucks has been selling very well in many markets around the world. Ford's recent success here at home is no surprise, but the company is also gaining market share in Europe -- and in China, Ford's Focus has quickly become one of the huge country's best-selling cars.

But lately, Ford's formula for success isn't working so well in Russia. Russia's new-car market is still relatively small, but it's expected to grow big in coming years -- and Ford is hoping to be a key player when it does.
