While the company has achieved impressive growth in its subscription ARR -- from $153 million in the first quarter of 2022 to $1.25 billion during the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 -- it remains unprofitable. And there's no certainty it will achieve profitability in the near future.

Additionally, stocks that make new appearances on public markets can exhibit considerable volatility. For those with a more conservative leaning, other cybersecurity stocks or even a cybersecurity exchange-traded fund (ETF) may be a better fit.

Is Rubrik profitable?

Far from generating a profit in its short time as a public company, Rubrik has reported losses on the bottom line. Through the six months ending on July. 31, 2025 (its fiscal year ends on Jan. 31), Rubrik incurred a $1.02 diluted loss per share, although that was an improvement from the $7.42 diluted loss per share it reported during the same period in 2024.

The company, however, has steadily booked a gross profit, illustrating a semblance of profitability. Through the first two quarters of fiscal 2026, Rubrik reported a gross profit of $464.3 million, an increase from $241.1 million the prior year.

Does Rubrik pay a dividend?

At this time, Rubrik doesn't pay a dividend, and it's unlikely the company will begin to reward shareholders anytime in the near future. The company states in its Form S-1 that it does "not anticipate paying any cash dividends in the foreseeable future."
